“I was born and raised in the city of Jalandhar in Punjab, India and completed my bachelors degree at Kurukshetra University. In 2013 I moved for my postgraduate studies to the land of Kiwis and have been calling it home ever since.
New Zealand’s beauty and lifestyle attracted me and inspired me to build a life here. One of my first roles in New Zealand was as a Dental Assistant in Rotorua. It gave me exposure to dentistry in NZ and this experience has helped me a lot in refining my skills.
In 2017 my association with Team Dental began as Practice Manager, and my bachelors in dental surgery from back home was of great help in coping with the active pace of work prevalent here at TD.
I successfully passed my NZDREX in 2022 (New Zealand Dental Registration Examination) which meant going through the three-tier assessment structure including an evaluation of your fundamental knowledge, clinical judgment, and finally your clinical skills. I couldn’t have accomplished the same without the support of my peers at Team Dental, who aided my preparation in every way possible. Furthermore, I’d like to tell any overseas registered dentists aspiring to qualify for the NZDREX, just work towards refining your skills as a Dentist and developing a patient oriented behavior.
Now registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand, I’m serving for Team Dental as a Dentist at the charming 16th avenue Tauranga branch; Root canal and Extraction being my forte. Besides work I enjoy playing cricket at the grassy pitches of NZ and, I also enjoy going for a run during sunsets.
To my patient’s I’d like to say that I am a dentist with a difference, I care for your long-term comfort and health more than conducting mechanical procedures left right and centre, moreover anyone suffering with any form of dental anxiety will find their experience with me and Team Dental extremely comfortable.”
